THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATION PARTICULARLY DESCRIBES AND ASCERTAINS THE NATURE OF THIS INVENTION AND THE MANNER IN WHICH IT IS TO BE PERFORMED:

SEALANT COMPOSITION FOR REPAIRING CRACKS OR WELDING JOINTS OF POLYVINYL CHLORIDE PIPES (PVC)
The field of the invention;
The present invention relates to polymer based sealant composition for bonding joints, crakes of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe and fittings. This invention also relates to adhesives or sealants useful for bonding or welding two polymeric surfaces, at least one of which is PVC.

Background of the invention;
Nearly half of the PVC manufactured today is used to form pipes, conduits, and fittings. PVC pipes and fittings are used extensively in the construction industry for both homes and businesses. For example, PVC pipes are used to transport potable water and water for household uses; for drain, piping; agricultural plumbing such as for irrigation and sprinkler systems; for hot tubs, spas, and bathtubs; and for electrical conduits.
Sealants, or adhesives, used to form PVC pipe joints must meet both a lap shear bond strength standard and a hydrostatic burst strength standard,. A strong bond between two pieces, at least one of which is thermoplastic PVC, is obtained by softening the PVC with the solvent in the sealant so that the thermoplastic resin at the interface of the pieces to be joined flow together to bond the pieces when they are pressed together. The PVC resin in the cement serves to fill any voids between the pieces, thereby strengthening the bond. Conventional PVC pipe cements consist of from 10 weight percent to about 14 weight percent PVC resin in one or more organic solvents.
The difficulty of repairing installed pipe fittings is well known, and prior art attempts to address this problem include multi-piece fittings or sleeves designed to be assembled around connecting pipes or fittings to form mechanical seals such as disclosed in U.S. Pat. Nos. 3,517,701, 3,771,820, 3,944,260, 4,889,370, and 4,109,94.
Prior art teaches repair of PVC pipes breaks by cutting back, a substantial distance, backup the conduit , then placing a new pipe coupler, of the same Id (inner diameter) and Od (outer diameter) as the broken pipe, with a suitable external or internal sleeve, to join the two pipe sections. Some times PVC cement is also used but the reason the PVC cement didn't work is because it is not meant to be used as a sealant. It is designed to "weld" two mating pieces of PVC - for example a pipe and a coupling of some kind. It does not bridge gaps like an adhesive, but instead partially softens and dissolves the pipe, making for a permanent connection between the two parts. The repair of the said of PVC by epoxy putty the repair only last for a short time because the "mechanical" attachment of the epoxy to the surface of the PVC pipe is not extremely strong. Part of the problem is that the epoxy is almost

inflexible when fully hardened, while the pipes expand and contract more readily. This varying expansion-contraction inevitably leads to failure of the bond and recurrence of the leak.
If the crack or breakage is on the mouth of the PVC pipes, the same is to be repaired by cutting off the broken part and throw away the same which leads again to heavy expenditure on buying new pipe.
The traditional method is difficult as well as causes the maximum "waste of PVC material by throwing the broken or cracked parts which also affects on the environment badly.
Object of the invention;
It is an object of the invention to provide the resin based sealant composition to repair the cracks of the PVC pipes and fittings, without changing the dimensions of the pipes and fittings. It also an object of the invention to provide a method for repairing the crakes of the PVC fittings and pipes,
Summary of the Invention;
It has now been discovered that polymer resin such as activated polyvinyl chloride resin based sealant containing a polymeric material polyvinyl chloride (PVC) polymer, organic fillers in dissolved in organic solvents works exceptionally well in certain bonding applications. Thus, according to the present invention, there is provided a sealant composition comprising at least about 5-50%% by weight of a polymeric material such as polyvinyl chloride
The sealant composition of the invention further comprises at least about 2-60 % by weight of aromatic organic solvent or a mixture of solvents. The sealant composition may optionally contain other thermoplastic resins or polymers, 1-10 antioxidants, UV stabilizers, 1-17% inorganic resins, 0.1-2.0 % inorganic pigments, antifoaming agents 0.1-2.0 %, plasticizers 1-20%, 0.5-5.0% water, 1.0-8.0 % Formamide.
The invention also provides a method of joining two pieces of thermoplastic material, such as poly(vinyl chloride) piping and fittings, and the product piece having one or more joints formed thereby.

Detailed description of the invention;
The present invention provides a semi liquid compound used to repair cracked or broken or leakage PVC pipes , fittings, and articles of PVC material with multi layer film formed by the application of the sealant composition that overcome one or more of the disadvantages that are current in the art.
The present invention providing a multi layer patches method that includes at least a first and second layer. The first layer to be applied is a polymer compound layer. The second layer is a PVC patch whose surface attaches with the first polymer compound layer. And the third layer if necessary is again a polymer compound layer. A good fit of the replacement piece makes the repair process simpler, quicker and stronger.Generally, the support film layer is a PVC patch. Typically, the support film layer is selected so that it is compatible with the polymer compound layer and/or the plastic piping to which it will be applied. A good fit of the replacement piece makes the repair process simpler, quicker and stronger.
The sealant or adhesives of the invention comprise a polymeric material and one or more organic solvents. The polymeric material of the invention contains a polymer of predominantly organic resin, such as polyvinyl chloride Polyvinyl chloride, Poly (chloroethanediyl)) commonly abbreviated PVC, is a thermoplastic polymer. The polymeric material of the invention comprises at least about 5-50 parts by weight, preferably at least about 30 parts by weight,
