Full Text | COMPLATE AFTER PROVISIONAL LEFT ON 11 OCT 2007 FORM - 2 THE PATENTS ACT, 1970 (39 of 1970) COMPLETE SPECIFICATION (See section 10; rule 13) "CARRIAGE SYSTEM FOR CARRYING UNIFINISH/FINISHED RUBBER COT ARBOUR AND AN AUTOMATIC RUBBER COT ARBOUR GRINDING/BUFFING MACHINE COMPRISING THE SAME" MEVADA, JITENDRA ISHWARBHAI Indian National 11, Hasubhai Park, Opp: Shalin Bung lows, Thaltej, Ahmedabad,Gujarat State, India. AND MISTRY, NARESH AMRUTLAL Indian National 102, Manekbaug Society, Ambawadi, Ahmedabad-380 015, Gujarat State, India. The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed: This invention relates to carriage system for carrying unfinished/finished rubber cot arbours in automatic rubber cot grinding/buffing machine comprising the same. More particularly this invention relates to a carriage system in which unfinished rubber cot arbour either directly from the unfinished rubber cot arbour unit or from the measuring unit is carried to the grinding head through the centre less holding and guiding device and the finished rubber cot arbour after grinding is carried to the finished rubber cot arbour storage unit/magazine through finished rubber cot arbour conveyer unit, the unfinished/finished rubber cot arbour are carried by the carriage simultaneously and smoothly ithereby making the working of automatic rubber cot arbour grinding/buffing machine quite a smooth and increasing its productivity Rubber cot arbour mainly comprises a steel spindle or axle provided with one or two rubber cots used as top rollers in Ring Frame, Frame, Combers, etc. of cotton/synthetic yarn Speed Frame, Draw spinning mills, in the textile industries. The arbours or top rollers used in Draw Frames or Combers are provided with single long cot up to 400 mm in length in the middle of the axle portion, while the arbours or top rollers used in Ring 2 Frames or Speed Frames are provided with a pair of cots, one each at the two ends of the axle. The cots are preferably made of rubber. A very large number of top rollers or rubber cot arbours are used in a Spinning mill/machine, which work continuously at a high speed. Regular grinding of the rubber cot arbours is required for ensuring quality of yarn by reducing thread breaks and minimizing lap formation. Generally centreless grinding is used for rubber cot arbours of Ring Frames and Speed Frames and with centre grinding' is used for Draw Frames and Comber Cots. Carriage system for carrying unfinished/finished rubber cot arbours are also known and used in the automatic rubber cot arbour grinding machines sold in the market under the brand name 'BERKOL' ® manufactured by 'HUBER + SUHNER'. But the existing carriage system is having numbers of branching of pneumatic cylinders and liner device which makes the construction of existing carriage complicated. Also the carriage has to travel two times one for picking the unfinished rubber cot arbour from the arbour holder and again to deliver the unsuitable rubber cot arbour to the rejection tray and in the mean time grinding head remains waiting for feeding the unfinished rubber cot arbours: for grinding thereby 3 reduction the productivity of the automatic rubber cot arbour grinding/buffing machine. In the existing carriage system for carrying unfinished/finished rubber cot arbour is not very smooth. In the existing carriage system for carrying unfinished/finished rubber cot arbours is occupy more space. The main object of this invention is to obviate the above mentioned drawbacks and limitation of the existing carriage system for carrying unfinished/finished rubber cot arbours in the automatic rubber cot arbour grinding machine and to provide carriage system for carrying unfinished/finished rubber cot arbours in the automatic rubber cot arbour grinding machine in which the carriage is able to carry unfinished/finished rubber cot arbours is smoothly and simu hereby making the working of the automatic rubber cot arbour grinding/buffing machine very smooth and increasing its productivity. Another object of this invention is to provide carriage system for carrying unfinished/finished rubber cot arbours in the automatic rubber cot arbour grinding machine, which is quite compact and occupying less space. Further object of this invention is to provide carriage system for carrying unfinished/finished rubber cot arbours, in which the branching of pneumatic cylinders and liner device avoided thereby reducing the maintenance cost and break down time thereby increasing the productivity at low cost. Accordingly this invention provides carriage system for carrying unfinished/finished rubber cot arbours for processing in a automatic rubber cot arbour grinding/buffing machine, comprises of a plate mounted on a linear slide, driven by a prime mover, a bridge track unit assembly provided at each end of the said plate, each of the said bridge track unit provided with a stopper, each of the said bridge track unit being provided with an adjusting means for adjusting central space according to the size/gauge of the arbours, Typically, the said plate is made of metal such as steel or aluminium. Typically, the said prime mover for driven the said plate on the liner slide is electric motor or the like. Typically, the said prime .mover for driven the said plate on the liner slide is pneumatic or hydraulic means or the like. Typically, the said adjusting means for adjusting central space of each of the bridge track assemblies is rack and pinion or the like. Typically, the said adjusting means for adjusting central space of each of the bridge track assemblies is screw and nut or the like. Typically, the said adjusting means for adjusting the central space of each of the bridge track assemblies is provided with a handle for manually adjusting the said central space. Typically, the said adjusting means for adjusting the central space of each of the bridge track assemblies is provided with art electric motor or the like for adjusting the said central space. Typically, the said each of the said stopper provided on each bridge track unit assemblies is pneumatic, hydraulic or a mechanical stopper. Typically, the said bridge track unit assemblies are adopted to be provided on two opposite sides of the arbour holder unit or grinding wheel head unit of the automatic rubber cot arbour grinding/buffing machine. 6 Typically, the said bridge track unit assemblies, in which one of the said bridge track unit assembly is adopted to be provided on measuring unit side to convey one by one unfinished rubber cot arbour to the arbour holding unit when found suitable for grinding, and another bridge track assembly provided towards finished rubber cot arbour conveyer unit and finished rubber cot arbour unloading magazine for unloading the finished rubber cot arbour after grinding. An automatic rubber cot arbour grinding/buffing machine, incorporated with carriage system for carrying unfinished/finished rubber cot arbours.
