The invention relates to a plant for the absorption of pollutants in gases, in which a solution having alkaline constituents is brought into contact with the gas,, in a first stage the gas being carried as a disperse phase through a suspension layer, and, in a second stage, as a continuous phase, into which the suspension is sprayed as a disperse phase, and the two stages being combined in structural terms in an individual scrubbing tower. The combination according to the invention of a bubble column and drop column in one contact apparatus for the separation of acid pollutant gases leads to a separation apparatus optimized in terms of mass transfer and of energy. |
