METHOD FOR SELECTION OF MOBILITY MECHANISM FOR MOBILITY MANAGEMENT IN IP MULTIMEDIA SERVICE CAPABLE NETWORKS
Abstract The present invention is related to a scheme to select the mobility mechanism based on packet overhead and packet loss. The proposed mechanism used by the entity in the network to select the mobility protocol based on the available parameters related to the mobility rate and the packet overheads of the mobile client or UE and also the available resource in the network is incorporated in this invention. Further invention incorporates the proposed mechanism used by the mobile client or UE to select the mobility mechanism.
