Abstract	Abatiaot : With a view to preserve water resources in ponds and rivers infested with aquatic plants, and consequently to preserve the ecological balance the present invention proposes a device, which, when placed afliidst the aquatic plants provides openings to aliov the air and sunlight to reach water surface and bottom of the pond/fiver. Such device comprises an enclosure made or net/mesh material which does not contaminate the water, nor is caused to be destroyed by the water, the net/mesh having such pore size that no part{s) of the aquatic plants can have access therethrough, said enclosure having weight band(s) provided thereto at predetermined places, the Weight b$nd(s) being or such weight as to Keep the enclosure a free-floating body in the said pond/river, glided by the surrounding aquatic plants in the event of the enclosure being placed a*fcdst the plants, in use of the device in th«^pond/river, whereby the top of the enclosure is adapted to remain above the top surface of the plants, and the bottom of the enclosure is adapted to remain below the ripot level of the plants, so as to permit air and sunlight to rectc-fci water surface and bottom of the pond/river.
