Title of Invention	A ROUGHING AND FINISHING COMBINATION TOOL FOR MAKING HOLES IN METAL/METAL ALLOY COMPONENTS IN ONE OPERATION AND ONE MACHINE
Abstract	A roughing and finishing combination tool for making holes in metal/metal alloy components in one operation and one machine. It comprises a shank provided with a pair of oppositely disposed righthand helical cutting flutes (3A,3B) of uniform diameter and a pair of oppositely disposed right hand helical finishing flutes ( 4A, 4B ) of uniform diameter. The finishing ilutes ( 4A, 4B ) are speced apart trom and alternating with the cutting flutes ( 3A.30 ) and provided with a larger diameter than the cutting flutes along the entire length thereof. The finishing flutes ( 4A, 4B ) have a back taper of 0.01 to 0.02 mm per 100 mm flutes length from the- outer Corner of the cnisel edges of the finishing flutes to the rear ends of the finisning flutes. The chisel edges of the flutes make entry angles of 45 to 60° with the axis ot the shank ( 2 ) and the Web ( 5 ) ot the ilutes at the chisel edges thereof are thinned to a thickness of 1.5 to 2,0 mm. The arlven end ( 2A ) of the shank is adaptea to oe mountea on a machine spindle.
