| Abstract | An improved air filter (1) for an expressor of diesel electric locomotives comprises a compect assembly of two filter elements (2&3) h.6uaed in a strong container (4) characterised in that the first.filter element is a pre- fflfe-er accommodated in thB front cover (5) and is made up of pleated wire mesh (7) having on its each side a coarse wire mesh (6), The said second filter is a fine filter made up of a pleated polyurethene fibre sheet (15), two free ends (8) of which are fixed on the inner side of the upper and lower wails being provided a funnel type outlet (1U) and a flanged fixture for fitting the assembly of the air.filter over the expressor vogue. |
