| Title of Invention | METHOD AND APPARATUS OF HOT FOIL STAMPING ON A HEAT SHRINKABLE FILM |

| Abstract | A method of hot foil stamping on a heat shrinkable film and apparatus therefor is described. The method comprises the following steps [a] providing a stamping station consisting of a hot foil stamping cylinder having elelments to be stamped embossed on its outside surface and an anvil roller abuttingly juxtaposed operatively below the stamping cylinder; [b]providing a stamping station consisting of a hot foil stamping cylinder having elelmets to be stamped embossed on its outside surface and an anvil roller abuttingly huxtaposed operatively the stamping cylinder; [b] providing a first feed cylinder on which is wound a roll of heat shrinkable film to be hot foil stamped [c] providing a secong feed cylinder on which is wound metallized film/foil of about the same width as the heat shrinkable film; [d] providing a first rewind cylinder for taking up the heat shrinkable film after stamping; [e] providing a second rewind cylinder for takingg up of the metallized film/foil after stamping; [f] synchronously feeding heat shrinkable film and the metallized film/foil between the hot stamping cylinder and the anvil roller; [g] heating the hot stamping roller to effect transfer of metal particles of the said elements from the metallized film/foil to the heat shrinkable film ar the line of contact between the line of contact of the hot stamping cylinder and the anvil roller. |
