This invention relates to a drive circuit for charging a liquid crystal cell of a display device in accordance with input data comprising a first switch having a first switch input for receiving said input data and a select input of said first switch for switching said input data from said first switch input to a first switch output, a storage capacitance coupled to said first switch output; an amplifier coupled between said storage capacitance and said cell; a second switch coupled to said amplifier and having a select input of said second switch coupled to the select input of said first switch, said second switch selectively controlling said ampliifer to periodically refresh a charge on said cell. |
