| Abstract | The invention relates to a liquid-cooled ingot mould for a continuous casting plant with a moulding ingot mould body I made of copper or copper alloy. Cooling channels 5 extending from the top side 6 of the ingot mould body I to its bottom side 7 are provided in the ingot mould body 1. The cooling channels 5 have each two longitudinal sections 10, 11 with longitudinal axes LI, L2 oriented relatively differently. In this manner the horizontal distance of the cooling channels 5 from the cast surface varies and a cooling rate suited to the stress profile of the ingot mould is achieved. |
