| Abstract | A horizontal synchronization circuit (10) includes a horizontal AFC circuit (16). . The horizontal AFC circuit is supplied with a horizontal sync signal from a synchronization separator circuit (12). The horizontal AFC circuit, VCO (20) and horizontal countdown circuit (22) form a PLL, and the horizontal AFC circuit produces a control voltage for the VCO. An LPF (30) is set with a time constant 1: 1 , and an LPF (3.2) is with a time constant 1: 2 smaller than the time constant r 1. When a composite video signal is inputted from the VCR and the head is switched, the output voltage of a comparator (34) is a high level but the output voltage of a comparator (36) becomes a low level. That is, in the vertical blanking period, a high-level gain-up signal is provided to the horizontal AFC circuit thereby increasing a loop gain of the PLL. |
