Abstract | This invention relates to a Pujabatti and a process of preparing the same, the process comprising: mixing 1/100 part of tulsi leaves powder, 2 parts of charcoal powder, 1 part of jicket powder and 1/100 part of camphor powder in water to form a paste, applying the said paste to a bamboo stick, sprinkling the Babool's bark powder over said stick and drying, preparing the extracts of Tulsi leaves by immersing Tulsi leaves in Pure Ghee and subjecting it to low heat for 30 to 60 minutes, cooling and sieving the Tulsi leaves, preparing the extracts of Tulsi in Pure Ghee by vashpan method and then cooling, mixing camphor in above said Tulsi extracts and keeping for 2-3 days, preparing fragrant by mixing 4 parts of DEP, 1 part of above mixture of camphor, pure ghee & Tulsi and one part of perfume to prepare the fragrant mixture, dipping said Pujabatti stick in said fragrant mixture to prepare Pujabatti. |
Full Text | The present invention relates to a process of preparing a composition for use in Puja Insense stick invention also relates to puja incense stick for performing puja before the deity. BACKGROUND The conventional agarbatti is prepared in the following three steps: - preparing plain agarbatti, We Claim: 1. A process of preparing a composition for use in puja incense stick comprising the steps of: i. obtaining extracts of Tuisi leaves, ii. cooling said extract and sieving the Tuisi leaves, iii adding camphor in said Tuisi extracts and storing for 2-3 days, iv. preparing a fragrant mixture by mixing 4 parts of Diethylphthalate (DEP), 1 part of above mixture in steps (i to iii) and one part of perfume, v. dipping the incense stick in the said fragrant mixture as in steps (i to iv) to obtain a puja incense stick 2. A process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the extract in step (i) is prepared by taking 1 kg of Tuisi leaves and 4 kg of pure ghee and subjecting the mix to low heat for 30 to 60 minutes, 3. A puja incense stick prepared by the process as claimed in claim 1, wherein said incense stick comprises of 2 part of charcoal powder, 1 part of jicket powder and babool's bark powder. 4. A process for the preparation of a composition for use in puja incense stick substantially as herein described - preparing fragrant mixture for agarbatti, - applying the said mixture on said plain agarbatti. Plain Agarbatti is prepared by mixing two parts of Charcoal powder, one part of Jicket powder in water to make a paste. Applying the said paste on a thin stick of bamboo and thereafter sprinkling the Babool's bark powder on said stick and keeping the said stick in cool dark place for drying. The fragrant mixture is prepared by mixing perfume and Diethyl Phthalate/White oil in a desired proportion. Dipping said plain agarbatti in the fragrant mixture. The agarbatti so prepared is useful only for good smell. This agarbatti does not contain essential ingredients for puja. The object of this invention is to prepare Puja Incense Stick, which contains all the essential ingredients for performing puja. To achieve the said objective, this invention provides a process for preparing a composition for use in Puja Incense Stick comprising : - mixing 1/100 part of Tulsi leaves powder, 2 parts of Charcoal powder, 1 part of Jicket powder and 1/100 part of Camphor powder in water to form a paste, - applying the said paste to a bamboo stick, - sprinkling the Babool's bark powder over said stick and drying, - preparing the extract of Tulsi leaves by immersing Tulsi leaves in pure ghee and subjecting it to low heat for 30 to 60 minutes, cooling and sieving the Tulsi leaves, - Mixing Camphor in above said Tulsi extracts and keeping for 2-3 days, - preparing a fragrant mixture by mixing 4 parts of Diethyl phthalate, 1 part of above mixture of Camphor, Pure Ghee and Tulsi and 1 part of perfume, - Dipping the said Incense Stick in said fragrant mixture to prepare Puja Incense Stick. This Puja Incense Stick, which is prepared by the above process provides completeness to worship because Tulsi, Pure Ghee and Camphor are important ingredients of worship. Tulsi extract is prepared by taking 1 kg of Tulsi leaves and 4 kg Pure Ghee and is subjected to low heat for 30 to 60 minutes, cooling and sieving Tulsi leaves. |
