METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INITIAL SYNCHRONIZATION BETWEEN GSM SYSTEM AND TD-SCDMA SYSTEM

Abstract A method for initial synchronization with the TD-SCDMA system in the GSM system connection mode is used to solve the question in the prior art: TD-SCDMA/GSM dual mode terminal may not detect the downlink synchronization code (DwPTS) for ever and the detection consumes more time when detecting TD-SCDMA frames in the GSM connection state; and the method in the GSM system connection state receives or transmits the traffic data at the RF band of the GSM system in the traffic time slots of the GSM frames, receives the TD-SCDMA signals at the RF band of the TD-SCDMA system in the idle time slots of the GSM frame, and detects the DwPTS form the received TD-SCDMA signals, thus, the terminal in the GSM connection state can detect quickly the DwPTS of the TD-SCDMA, thereby realizing the initial synchronization of the TD-SCDMA/GSM dual mode system. A GSM system processing device and a communication device are disclosed in the technical solution simultaneously.
